Wedgwood Institute frieze II
Gouache
The façade of the Wedgwood Institute in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent was completed in 1871. Each of the twelve terracotta panels represent the calendar months. They were modelled by local artist, Rowland Morris.
The Wedgwood Institute is a fine example of Venetian Gothic Architecture.
“I painted all twelve of the panels. Studying the intricate modelling in detail gives a true appreciation of an outstanding building.”
